In the Beginner class $2.00 goes back to the child and $3.00 is to go for year end awards.  Points will not be kept in the Beginner class, any child competing at 8 or more shows will receive awards.  If you are in the youth class you may pay your open entry fee and carry your time to the open, you must tell the secretary before you run and you cannot change your mind after you have run your youth run.

Open 4D will be a half second split.  Youth 4D ½, ½, 1 split.  Points will be awarded in each division as follows:

POINTS:  1st Place will receive 50 points, 2nd Place will receive 49 points ,3rd Place will receive 48 points etc….(If there are more than 50 contestants in a division, they will receive 1 point each after 50th place.).  If two or more riders tie, the points for the tied positions should be added together and divided equally among the riders who tied.

NOTE:  When there is over $500.00 added money @ a jackpot that counts for points the highest placing Cowgirls for Christ member will set the time for the 4D's in the Open Class for the points.  For example:  If there are no Cowgirls for Christ members in the actual 1D results, the top placing member in the 2D will actually set the 1D member points where as the ½, ½, ½, second splits will begin with that time.  The payout will not change only the points for the Cowgirls for Christ members.

For year-end awards you may place in only one D per horse/rider (depending on how you nominated).  Example:

If you run only one horse but place in more than one D you may only get the awards from the D you placed the highest in.

You can nominate RIDER or HORSE.  This applies to Open 4D and Junior’s.  Example:

Rider nomination:  points will be kept on rider not the horse so you may any horse you wish as long as it is not a nominated horse.

Horse Nomination: If you nominate your horse the points will kept on the horse.  Any one who is a member may run your horse for you.  If it is in the Youth it must be a member that is eligible age wise for the youth.  The horse must compete at 8 shows.  But if the horse gets hurt you may not substitute another horse for the nominated horse.

All riders accumulating points must be current members.

You may enter as many horses as you want.  If riding more than one horse and you are nominated as a rider, you must designate the horse to count the rider points on.  If not designated, your first run will be your point run.  If riding nominated horses, the names of the horses must be on the entry form or points will not count.  Each horse can run only once per class.  All broken patterns and down barrels will receive a no time.  In the case of a re-run the re-run will be the deciding run for points and money.  A member may choose to pay his/her entry fee and not run for the sole purpose of becoming eligible for the finals and awards.  This entry fee must be paid before the 1st runner.  No points will be awarded and the money will be added to that day’s jackpot.

WORKS:  In order to be eligible for year-end awards, each member MUST WORK A MINIMUM OF 8 different jackpots or exhibition classes. Members must sign up in order to receive credit for working.  You may sign up to work at the show beforehand.  Juniors may work barrels in exhibitions only.  Sharing of accumulated points between participants is not allowed.  You must compete 8 times in a class to be eligible for awards and finals in that class.

ADS:   Each member will be required to get a $25.00 ad or donation to eligible for year-end awards.   If you get an ad and you want it in our book the deadline is Jan. 31, 2008.  All others are due by the June 22, 2008 show at Atkins.  Also you get one work for every $25.00 worth of ads you sell beyond the required ad.  If you join after June 22, 2008 you are still required to get an ad to be eligible for awards.
